Episode 9: What is going on with the Global Component Shortage? Real talk about Counterfeit Parts

Each week, we dive in deeper into what's gone on in the tincubator through the week in 10 minutes or less. Our topics are driven by conversations we have on social media, driven by the posts we share of our day-to-day business operations.

Getting components in 2021 has been a sh!tshow. In this week's episode, we're talking all about how the current Global Component Shortage has impacted us in one of our projects in deep, deep detail. Aside from all the things we've already talked about for this IoT property management environmental sensor project, like the fact we had to redesign our power board multiple times based on component shortages. This one is focused on why this shortage exists, how companies are freaking out about it and doing dumb things to combat it, and how it's impacting our ability to actually build products for paying customers.

Hang on to your hats, because it's not a smooth ride and nice story with a happy ending. It's more of a saga and quite honestly, we rant about how ineffectual the component manufacturer in this case has been at helping people who are TRYING to be paying customers! Do better at business, people!
